THE ORACLE: LONDON

Good evening fellow blogging community... Yes, the blog has been stagnant for a week or so..but for good reason- EXPLORATION!!!! ADVENTURE!!! and yes, that took the kikis to London... To see what the fuss was all about.. and WE LOVED IT!! FUSS=JUSTIFIED! I was online one day and a woman wrote in inquiring about a bag she'd seen on the blog.. We spoke, talked, wrote and wrote.. Oh the O'Leary, as I like to refer to her as was a breathe of fresh air.. She was a young londoner, in search of fashion delicacies. and I was coming to her stomping ground and could provide! and in return she informed me that she could tell me all of her London secrets, that only those with a proper and not fake accent would be privy to.. I took her up on her offer, with a babooshka hobo in my suitcase.. Jetlagged, I met her at Shortage house, a quite shi shi hangout with folks laying about in the pool and drinking pretty drinks.. Mine, a yummy mohito of some sort. I Love the people I met. co-workers, friends, completely kind and friendly.. NOT NEW YORK! I made the fashion transfer and she gave me "The Oracle's list".. A treasured item. All knew of this knowdledge- as strange as it was..I ran away, ready to take it on.. Except, I'm jet lagged.
But, I muddled through a few sites, had a few brews, defended my partner from patroling hippie hipsters with their eyes for Italians..at Dover Street market.. Comme Des Garcons for days!!! A few days later i met the Oracle at a "good" chinese restaraunt in Soho with some good friends and friend of friends and Sophie!!.. We drank wine.. ate tofu... drank more pints.. went to Duckies, a reknowned gay bar in the district of debauchery.. Sophie hiked her skirt a few inches higher... I took ridiculous pictures.. Hours later, after tube attempts, cabs, the oracle threw me in a cab where I returned to the Hoxton for a good and long sleep..
gracia ORACLE!!!! I love strangers who take you in and are so sweet to tell you about their city.. kisses.. kikis.

The Metropolis satchel caravaned it's way down Gypsy Trails... or at least to Minneapolis on a recent journey to the Twin Cities..or Lake Elmo to be exact.. Also yet again in Fall, our favorite friend Jean Bardot WITHOUT make-up after much persuasion.. She did get to keep her eyebrows though.. BRING SOME GUNNE SAX FROCKS!!!

Well guys,NYC FASHION WEEK is over,..frankly we did not
see new great talent emerging,or fresh new ideas.
Kudos at least to IsabelToledo for revamping the old tired Anne Klein line.
Some of us liked the classic evergreen of Mister Oscar and Carolina, some
liked the russian peasant dolls of Vera Wang, and how could you not
like the Marc Jacobs (new?!) silhouettes even if literally too inspired by the 70's work
of Valentino,Albini,Rikyel.
We are kinda over the Alaia frenzy and the 80's revival,.we want something
folk, romantic, coming back again,..so check out this Gunne Sax ensambles,
they would go perfectly with the new Fall Kikis collection,..
Soon,new pics,.new bags,.new Kikis,..

Let's start the new year with a less known style icon,at least here in the US,

Zouzou started as a model, worked with Jan Paul Goude,,then was discovered by great directors; Rohmer, anyone?!
She also recorded few albums, and she wrote two autobiography.
check the website http//zouzou.chez-alice.fr/
And look how stilish and gorgeous this incredible woman is.
That's why we choose her as Kikis muse! tres chic!

NEW MUSE! LILY ALLEN!!!!

Yes folks, the Kikis were lucky enough to witness miss Lily Allen's first New York performace last night at the HIRO ballroom!! We were thrilled to get to see the sold out show, but as we ate our hearty dinners upstairs, there she appears.. With hopefully just a subtle wine buzz, I ran after her for a photograph which she so kindly agreed to and was so sweet and gracious.. Adorable in every sense of the word from her look to her lyrics, we love this lady.. And the show, though short was very very fun.. We're won over.. Did I mention I smuggled in my camera in my Fruit o the looms!!

CELEBRITY SPOTTING!!???YANG YANG

For decades she has been the chic-est and most forward thinker/performer there is, and all our divas are influenced by her in some way.. In the late 60's, Gents were cutting her frock off for entertainment. In the 70's her caderwalling was cringed upon.. But we, the Kikis team site her as "The Muse" for today.. She was in her 60's in this picture of her in the Bambata bag? Soft Italian calfskin cross body with GM Collections button.. Gracia Yoko!
