THE ORACLE: LONDON
Good evening fellow blogging community... Yes, the blog has been stagnant for a week or so..but for good reason- EXPLORATION!!!! ADVENTURE!!! and yes, that took the kikis to London... To see what the fuss was all about.. and WE LOVED IT!! FUSS=JUSTIFIED! I was online one day and a woman wrote in inquiring about a bag she'd seen on the blog.. We spoke, talked, wrote and wrote.. Oh the O'Leary, as I like to refer to her as was a breathe of fresh air.. She was a young londoner, in search of fashion delicacies. and I was coming to her stomping ground and could provide! and in return she informed me that she could tell me all of her London secrets, that only those with a proper and not fake accent would be privy to.. I took her up on her offer, with a babooshka hobo in my suitcase.. Jetlagged, I met her at Shortage house, a quite shi shi hangout with folks laying about in the pool and drinking pretty drinks.. Mine, a yummy mohito of some sort. I Love the people I met. co-workers, friends, completely kind and friendly.. NOT NEW YORK! I made the fashion transfer and she gave me "The Oracle's list".. A treasured item. All knew of this knowdledge- as strange as it was..I ran away, ready to take it on.. Except, I'm jet lagged.
But, I muddled through a few sites, had a few brews, defended my partner from patroling hippie hipsters with their eyes for Italians..at Dover Street market.. Comme Des Garcons for days!!! A few days later i met the Oracle at a "good" chinese restaraunt in Soho with some good friends and friend of friends and Sophie!!.. We drank wine.. ate tofu... drank more pints.. went to Duckies, a reknowned gay bar in the district of debauchery.. Sophie hiked her skirt a few inches higher... I took ridiculous pictures.. Hours later, after tube attempts, cabs, the oracle threw me in a cab where I returned to the Hoxton for a good and long sleep..
gracia ORACLE!!!! I love strangers who take you in and are so sweet to tell you about their city.. kisses.. kikis.

More Fall 2007 from the gypsy trail!
The Metropolis satchel caravaned it's way down Gypsy Trails... or at least to Minneapolis on a recent journey to the Twin Cities..or Lake Elmo to be exact.. Many thanks to Kelly at Via's Vintage on 2408 Hennepin Ave in Uptown.. She let the Kikis collective dig through her massive stash of AMAZING victorian-esque clothes.. a dream come true to grab what we wanted for this shoot. And great prices folks! Also yet again in Fall, our favorite friend Jean Bardot WITHOUT make-up after much persuasion.. She did get to keep her eyebrows though.. And Shot by the fabulous Scott "Frenchy" Fremont.. thanks guys for the fun and relaxation!
